In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander History Month, we’ve gathered a list of organizations working to promote AAPI excellence in STEM, from students at the university level to professionals throughout their careers. Some include paid memberships and events, others have 100% free resources for students and professionals seeking information about advancement in their field.
American Indian Science and Engineering Society | a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing representation of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations, and other indigenous peoples of North America in STEM studies and careers. The organization offers support to students in STEM programs with scholarships and events and offers professional development support in addition to career and networking opportunities.
Asian American Architects and Engineers Association | A platform for empowering Asian American professionals working in the built environment in personal and professional growth, business development and networking, and leadership in our community.
Chinese Institute of Engineers - USA | A non-profit professional organization of Chinese-American engineers, scientists and other professionals, dedicated to advancing Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) in all communities across the United States and provide recognition to the APA professionals at the national level.
National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering | The largest provider of college scholarships for underrepresented minorities pursuing degrees at schools of engineering. NACME partners with like-minded entities to provide scholarships, resources, and opportunities for high-achieving, underrepresented minority college students pursuing careers in engineering and computer science.
Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers | Dedicated to the advancement of Asian heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential. In addition to professional development, SASE also encourages members to contribute to the enhancement of the communities in which they live.
EiE | Our professional development resources are geared toward preK-8 educators interested in STEM empowerment - with one-on-one coaching or group seminars plans available, we’re here to help you reach your goals.
