It’s the anniversary of the moon landing! In 1969, the Apollo 11 mission landed among the stars, marking one giant step for man and a giant leap for mankind. 53 years after the mission, people across the world are once again celebrating the moon landing, the odds that were stacked against it and how it continues to influence spaceflight. This year, here are some space-themed resources and activities to explore to support learning:

 Research has shown that direct family involvement in learning has a significant impact on a student's academic achievement and future goals. That’s why we’ve created EiE Families! Designed for families with kids ages 4 to 11, our new online experience includes at-home and on-the-go activities to support learning wherever you are. Improved accessibility features on the site like interactive read-alouds, animations, and more make learning more engaging, and fun. EiE Families also offers detailed instructions to support educators in hosting their own community STEM event. 

Asteroid Day is June 30th! Every year, the United Nations-sanctioned event aims to educate the public about the risks and opportunities of asteroids by hosting events, providing educational resources, and by providing regular communications to a global audience on multiple digital platforms. To help you join in the celebration and learning this year, check out some of our space-themed resources and activities!

We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Pear Deck™, a student engagement platform providing interactive learning and formative assessment solutions. As part of the collaboration, Pear Deck will offer a series of EiE-developed interactive STEM lessons that support educators in introducing the critical topic of climate change to students in grades 3–8.
