Bring Earth Month Alive With These Four Lessons

Each year, as we prepare to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd, we consider how we can be doing more for our earth and environment. One thing we can do now is not let ourselves be limited to one day and, instead, take the challenge to celebrate Earth Month — a growing initiative to spread awareness of our Earth more than once a year.

How Our Habits of Mind Bolster Social Emotional Learning

8 Things We’re Grateful for this Year!

This year has been a whirlwind and, as we approach year end, many of us at EiE and the Museum of Science are reflecting on what 2020 has brought us. While no one could have prepared for the far-reaching impacts of the global coronavirus pandemic, we are touched by the ways our community has adapted and responded to such an uncertain time.

STEM Education at the Earliest Levels Will Improve Science Achievement in our Schools

This week, the Boston Foundation released a sobering study that analyzed the state of STEM education in Boston’s elementary, middle, and high schools. “Getting It Right: Progress and Problems in Raising Science Achievement in Boston” looked closely at student achievement on the MCAS Science and Technology/Engineering tests and compared Boston’s students to those in the rest of the state in the grade-level mastery of science.
